Meteor Garden Drama: Episode 9
 
XiMen, MeiZuo and Lei fail to contact DaoMingShi. He is nowhere to be found. They decide to look for him at his villa. Meanwhile, ShanCai receives a red tag again. ShanCai assumes its his way of saying goodbye. ShanCai is chased by the rest of the school again. QingHe helps ShanCai escape, but she is still caught and made unconcious by 3 men. QingHe returns but cannot find ShanCai anywhere. He calls XiMen to tell him that ShanCai got a red tag. QingHe then runs to the cake shop to ask XiaoYou if she has seen ShanCai. She is not at home and did not take leave from work either. QingHe tells XiaoYou that he will save ShanCai. He admits that he likes ShanCai. They start wondering what to do. 
 
ShanCai finds herself all tied and gagged up in a dark room. One of the guys take a photo of her and instructs another guy to bring the photo to someone. It turns out the person he's going to look for is DaoMingShi. Just then, another man enters. The man turns out to be XiaoShun.
 
Lei feels that it wasn't DaoMingShi who pasted the red tag and whoever did it must be up to something really bad. They continue searching for DaoMingShi and finds him eating and drinking. He told them he went out fishing. Lei tells him that something has happened to ShanCai. 
 
ShanCai: XiaoShun.. Why is it you? What do you want?
XiaoShun: I'm sorry, I'm making use of you and our friendship.
ShanCai: You mean, you got close to me for a motive.
XiaoShun: Everything was arranged by me. Everything from you getting the namecard, going for modelling, being saved by me. Up to our photo appearing on the magazine, the red tag, you being here. It's all part of my plan.
ShanCai: What's your motive?
XiaoShun: To deal with DaoMingShi.
Accomplice: You seem quite interested in this girl.
XiaoShun: Nonsense! I'm just making use of her.
ShanCai: Why? What do you have against DaoMingShi?
XiaoShun: I grew up in an orphanage, abandoned by my parents. In my blood, there's only hate, no love. I wanted to kill myself, but a big brother saved me. He's my saviour. He not only saved my life, he counselled me. However, when he offended DaoMingShi and was
beaten up so badly. He was such a nice person. I've been waiting for this chance to deal with DaoMingShi. When DaoMingShi lands in my hands, he's dead.
 
At DaoMingShi's place, someone turns up with a photo of ShanCai being tied up. At that moment, XiaoShun calls DaoMingShi. He asks ShanCai to speak into the phone.
ShanCai: DaoMingShi, don't come. Don't believe him.
XiaoShun: I'm warning you, don't call the police. Come alone.
DaoMingShi: I'll go. But you must make sure ShanCai is safe. 
 
DaoMingShi turns up with his hands tied.
XiaoShun: Untie him. You just have to stand there.
ShanCai: Why did you come? You fool!
XiaoShun: You can retaliate, but I advice you not to. *points a knife at ShanCai* You wouldn't want her to be hurt.
DaoMingShi: Don't look at me like that. Close your eyes.
ShanCai watches in horror screaming for them to stop as they bash up DaoMingShi.
ShanCai: (thinking) Someone who has never been beaten up, who can fight so well.. Is being beaten up so badly but doesn't retaliate.. And it's all because of me.
An angry XiaoShun grabs a chair and throws it at DaoMingShi. 
ShanCai dashes in front of DaoMingShi to shield him. Seeing this,XiaoShun decides to leave.
ShanCai: Idiot! Why didn't you retaliate? You could have beaten them up easily.
DaoMingShi: If I had retaliated, I would have lost. I would have failed to protect you. It is easy to deal with them, but I didn't. Because the only thing I had in mind, was to protect you. If I die, don't be sad. Don't cry.
Saying that, DaoMingShi fails to the floor.

ShanCai has a nightmare of DaoMingShi jumping off the building. When she wakes up, she's in hospital. She rushes out and sees Lei in the corridor crying. The F4 gang up to fool ShanCai into believing that DaoMingShi has died. When ShanCai found out that she was fooled, she nearly strangles DaoMingShi. XiMen, MeiZuo and Lei leave DaoMingShi and ShanCai alone. Before they left, DaoMingShi leaves them a note to deal with the people who beat him up.
 
 
DaoMingShi: Can't you say something to console the sick.
ShanCai: *crying* Because.. I had a dream.. That you died. I was so scared. I thought you really died. And you still bluff me.
DaoMingShi: Sorry. Don't rub your eyes anymore. You're ugly enough. Didn't I say, even if it's to hell, I will chase you.

Suddenly, XiaoShun turns up at the hospital and tells DaoMingShi why he beat him up.
ShanCai: Please don't do such things again.
XiaoShun: Actually I came today to apologise to you.
ShanCai: Too late. Please leave.
XiaoShun: If you were not the person DaoMingShi likes, I really wish we could be friends. But I know that's hopeless now. It's really a pity.
ShanCai: (thinking) actually I can understand why you did that. But right now, I still can't forgive you. Maybe one day, after everything has settled, we can become friends.
The F3 returns after beating up the guys.
XiMen: Although we can't understand, but the power of love is really quite amazing.
ShanCai: I... I just had my check up. Doctor says I can leave now.
MeiZuo: Don't escape everytime we bring this matter up.
XiMen: DaoMingShi's family is rich. To you, its a one in a million chance.
ShanCai: I'm not a greedy person.
MeiZuo: Whatever. He's also the person who can fight best among us.
ShanCai: That's not a good point.
Lei: Furthermore, when you're in danger, he will save you no matter what.
ShanCai: I didn't ask him to save me. And... And...
DaoMingShi: And what??
ShanCai: DaoMingShi reminds me of a dog.
DaoMingShi: You say I'm a dog???
ShanCai: (thinking) I'm an idiot. What nonsense did I just say?
The F3 can't stop laughing.
 
 
Lei and ShanCai are eating together.
Lei: ShanCai, this group of friends who grew up with him saw him like that for the first time. He is obviously very serious about you. You know what I mean?
 
DaoMingShi: *suddenly appearing* Lei. You two look so happy together.
Lei: Aren't you on leave?
DaoMingShi: Someone said I'm like a dog.
Lei: I'm leaving. I haven't told her what you wanted me to say. You tell her yourself. Bye.
ShanCai: What is it?
DaoMingShi: Do you know what day it is this 31st? It's my birthday.
ShanCai: Oh.. Happy Birthday.
DaoMingShi: I have a birthday party. You must buy me a present.
ShanCai: I don't have money to buy you a present.
DaoMingShi: Then come empty-handed. Whatever it is, you must come. I want to introduce you to my mum.
ShanCai, with XiaoYou's help, bakes cookies for DaoMingShi's birthday.
 
Lei, XiMen and MeiZuo turn up at ShanCai's house on the day of the party, dressed in formal suits, to pick her up.
ShanCai: Why are you all dressed like that?
XiMen: It's DaoMingShi's birthday. What on earth are you wearing?
ShanCai: My mum's old dress.
 
 
XiMen: Lei, thank goodness you thought of coming earlier to pick her up, or we'll be in trouble.
MeiZuo: Quick think of something.
XiMen: Go to Ah-Shi's house. Big Sister should have something for her.

At DaoMingShi's house, they search DaoMingZhuang's clothes to find something for ShanCai.
 
ShanCai: Why must I dress up? Is there anything special about today?
MeiZuo: We forgot to tell you.. DaoMingShi's mother is extremely scary.
Lei: You're the first girl DaoMingShi brings home. She'll look at you as his fiance.
XiMen: In families like ours, we all have arranged marriage.
MeiZuo: For the sake of our family's image.
XiMen: That's why we have to dress you up like a rich girl. 
 
At the party, the F3 lead ShanCai in. DaoMingShi goes over to talk to them. ShanCai sees all the expensive presents people have for DaoMingShi and she doesn't dare to give the biscuits she made.
 
 
DaoMingShi: Let me introduce you to my mum.
ShanCai: No!
They pull at each other and suddenly, ShanCai falls, knocking all
the plates over. DaoMingShi's mother, DaoMingFeng appears. 
 
DaoMingFeng: What's the commotion?
MeiZuo: Auntie, this is..
DaoMingFeng: It's not time for you to talk now. Miss, who are you?
ShanCai: I..
DaoMingFeng: Ah-Shi, is she your friend?
DaoMingShi: Yes
DaoMingFeng: Ask her to leave. Do you hear me?
DaoMingShi: Mum, she's a very important woman to me.
DaoMingFeng: Do you know what that means.
DaoMingShi: I know.
XiMen: Wait! She's our schoolmate, our good friend.
MeiZuo: Yes, not some indecent person.
DaoMingFeng: Shut up! What indecent. What I want to know is whether her family fits our DaoMing family.
XiMen and MeiZuo: Sorry
DaoMingFeng: Miss, what's your name?
ShanCai: ShanCai
DaoMingFeng: What does your father do?
ShanCai: Err...
Lei: CEO of the MuYe Enterprise.
XiMen: Yes yes.
MeiZuo: Newly set up. Haven't you heard?
DaoMingFeng: Really? A daughter of such background, should know how to play an instrument or two. May we have you play a piece for us on the piano?

Meteor Garden Drama: Episode 7
DaoMingShi and DaoMingZhuang are chatting over breakfast. DaoMingZhuang: How are you are XiMen, MeiZuo and Lei getting along? DaoMingShi: Don't mention Lei in front of me. He's no longer a member of F4. DaoMingShi storms off. DaoMingZhuang: (thinking) Looks like DaoMingShi has met his match. In school, QingHe is the new member of F4 to replace Lei. They run into ShanCai and Lei.
DaoMingShi: (decalring to the whole school) From now on, Lei is not a member of F4, replaced by Chen QingHe. Nobody is to bully him. QingHe: ShanCai! What's happening? DaoMingShi: QIngHe, forgot to tell you, you're not allowed to talk to them.
Lei and ShanCai, I will chase you two out of school in one week. ShanCai: Hey! Wait! What right do you have to chase us out? Lei: He really has that right. The influence of the DaoMing family in this school is uncomparable.
The new F4 are gathered at DaoMingShi's house. XiMen: We have never forced people to get out of school before. F4 doesn't do that. MeiZuo: And we're talking about Lei now. The Lei that grew up with us. DaoMingShi: Exactly because it's Lei. Do you think he really likes ShanCai? He only has Jing in his heart. ShanCai is just a replacement for him to forget Jing.
XiMen, MeiZuo and QingHe walked off. As they were walking, DaoMingZhuang grabs QingHe from behind and forces him to tell her what is happening.
The next day, DaoMingShi goes to see the principal and ask him to get Lei and ShanCai out of school. DaoMingZhuang arrives with ShanCai and she gives DaoMingShi a punch. XiMen, MeiZuo and QingHe also arrive. DaoMingShi and DaoMingZhuang quarrel in front of the principal.
ShanCai: Enough! I'll quit school myself. Satisfied now? Lei: *suddenly appearing* I won't let you quit. The one who should be quitting is me. QingHe: If ShanCai quits, I'll quit too. MeiZuo: If you force Lei to quit, I'll quit too.
DaoMingZhuang: Shut up, all of you! Childish. We shall resolve this with sports. 3 on 3. The losing team will have to do whatever the winning team request of them. ShanCai: 3 on 3 means... HuaZeLei, Me and QingHe? (thinking) Are you really helping us?
ShanCai, QingHe and Lei gather at the basketball court feeling defeated. Lei tells them that the other 3 are really good at sports. ShanCai and QingHe are total failures. However, Lei shows off his talents and gets them to practice. Lei: I will help you. *pats ShanCai on the head* Even I have someone whom I want to protect.
After practicing, ShanCai was on her way home when she saw DaoMingShi waiting for her. DaoMingShi: *hugs ShanCai* As long as you say you like me, I will cancel tomorrow's match.
He tries to kiss ShanCai but she pushes him away. DaoMingShi: Do you really hate me? You like Lei so much? Why is it Lei? Why is it my best friend? I feel silly. Why do I like a girl like you. ShanCai: Sorry.. Sorry, DaoMingShi.
DaoMingShi: *poking ShanCai on the head* You're so silly. Don't regret in future. I will put in my best tomorrow. You watch out. ShanCai: Who's scared of who! DaoMingShi: Such determination. That's the ShanCai I know. THe match begins and DaoMingShi team immediately gets a lead. It was a total one-sided match. THe point is 10-0 with only 3 minutes. Lei: No matter what, I will protect ShanCai. With that, he shoots a 3-pointer. Seeing how happy ShanCai and Lei were, DaoMingShi got very angry. Lei called for timeout and pulled ShanCai to the side.
Lei: Do you want to win no matter what? ShanCai: Of course. Lei: Put your hands on my shoulders. Smile. Lei suddenly grabs ShanCai and hugs her. The match resumes. Lei: Now it's our turn.
Immediately after that, DaoMingShi keeps fouling, allowing Lei to catch up with his penalty shots. XiMen saw through Lei's plan. Lei: (thinking) Even if you say I'm sly, I won't lose. I won't let ShanCai quit school. With only 30 seconds left, Lei team is 2 points behind. ShanCai: What should we do now? Lei: I will pass the ball to you. You will shoot a 3-pointer. ShanCai: What if it doesn't go in? Lei: I will let the time stop.
With only 10 seconds, DaoMingShi saw how hard ShanCai was trying. At the last second, he hit the ball away and declared that he was not playing anymore. (Much to DaoMingZhuang's expectation) MeiZuo: So what happens to the match? DaoMingShi: Up to you. ShanCai: DaoMingShi....
DaoMingShi roam the streets in his jersey. In his dazed state, he is nearly robbed. However, he heard the robbers say the word "Lei" and got angry. He beat all of them up. Meantime, back at DaoMingShi's house, the rest of them were celebrating. They drank quite a lot. DaoMingZhuang, MeiZuo and XiMen lock ShanCai and Lei in the guest room for the night. ShanCai: *scrambling to the other side of the room* Let's chat through the night. Let's talk about our graudation trip. Lei: You ugly thing. ShanCai: What did you say? Lei: Just joking. You're someone who nobody will notice. But when you were playing basketball, the way you play so hard, that was quite attractive. ShanCai: I.. Lei: I'm not quite sure what's my feelings towards you. Maybe they're right.. that I'm with you to forget Jing. ShanCai: I'm glad you told me the truth. Lei: Silly girl. DaoMingShi arrived home and DaoMingZhuang tells him what they did to ShanCai and Lei. DaoMingZhuang: If you're a man, you should wish them happiness. understand? DaoMingShi: Lei sure has his way. XiMen: That's the way. DaoMingZhuang: Maybe you're really a good man. In the morning, ShanCai leaves the room while Lei is still sleeping. DaoMingShi saw ShanCai walking around the living room. ShanCai: (thinking) Jing, looks like I can never win you. My heart might hurt, but it's okay. DaoMingShi, staring at ShanCai, couldn't hold back his tears and walked away. In school, XiMen and MeiZuo approach Lei. XiMen: What happened between you and ShanCai last night? Lei: Nothing. XiMen: It's no wonder. Her figure is quite bad. MeiZuo: And not feminine at all. XiMen: Is there something wrong with you? Lei: It's not what you think. ShanCai is a really good girl. I nearly fell for her. XiMen: Is it because you still have feelings for Jing. Lei: I can't betray DaoMingShi. We are friends who grew up together after all. XiMen: What about ShanCai? Lei: As long as I know DaoMingShi still likes ShanCai, it is impossible between us. XiMen: I guess nobody can reply Jing's place in your heart. Back at DaoMingSHi's house, DaoMingShi tells DaoMingZhuang that he has decided to go to New York. When ShanCai returned home, she saw her parents sitting gloomily at the table. It turns out that her father has been sacked and they'll have to move. They move to a small, pathetic place with only one room. In school, QingHe tells ShanCai about DaoMingShi's decision to go to New York.
XiMen: You don't even know English, what are you doing to NY for? DaoMingShi: Exactly because I don't know, so I'm going there to learn. XiMen: How long will you be there? DaoMingShi: 2 years. I'm leaving tomorrow morning. Lei: Ah-Shi.. DaoMingShi: I'm not leaving because of you. ShanCai: You're really leaving? DaoMingShi: I've already decided. I'll leave tomorrow. ShanCai: Why didn' you tell me?
DaoMingShi: Why should I tell you. Without me, such a big obstacle around, you two can get along very well. I will find myself a blond girl in NY. ShanCai gives DaoMingShi a tight slap. She starts crying. ShanCai: Go if you want. You better go now, don't stay here! I'm not crying because I'm sad.. But becasue I'm too happy. I don't need to say goodbye to you. We're not going to see each other again. Idiot! ShanCai runs off crying. Lei finds her. Lei: Ah-Shi is going tomorrow. Are you really okay with it? You're not going to do anything about it? ShanCai: None of my business. Lei: When Jing went to France, you were the one who told me to be brave. What about you now? You're going to let him go just like that?
At the airport, XiMen, MeiZuo, Lei and QingHe sends DaoMingShi off. DaoMingShi: After I leave, who will you find to replace me for F4? Lei: F4 will be F4. It is irreplacable. DaoMingShi: Time for me to go. Lei: Don't you want to wait a bit longer? ShanCai might be here.
QingHe: ShanCai won't be here. He father was sacked and they're broke. She doesn't have the time to bother about you. Lei: Ah-Shi, I have something to say to you. Lei whispers some things to DaoMingShi. On the plane, DaoMingShi stares blankly, thinking about what Lei told him. Lei: Nothing happened between me and ShanCai. I believe the person she really like is you. DaoMingShi finally snaps out of it and wants to get off the plane but is hit by DaoMingZhuang.
ShanCai and XiaoYou are at the cake shop. ShanCai is hoping to sell more cakes to earn more commission to help her family. The F3 suddenly turn up and offers to help her sell cakes.
Lei: Watch how they do it. Sign: Buy 5 cakes and get a kiss free. XiMen: I will sell, you will kiss. We are here to help ShanCai.
All the girls rush forward to buy the cakes. Even XiaoYou goes to queue up. ShanCai and Lei sit by the side and stare. XiMen andMeiZuo finishes selling all the cakes. Back at ShanCai's house, Mama decides to help people look after their children to help earn money.

Storyline and Cast ....

A plain girl from a middle-class family enters an elite school of filthy-rich snobs and clashes with four gorgeous bullies. She stands up to them and wins the hearts of the hunkiest two.

San Cai

Mu Ye San Cai (Makino Tsukushi), played by Da S of the sister duo SOS, is the female lead of the show. She is currently 25 years of age. She plays a 19 years old, who is born in a middle class family. Her parents sent her to the exclusive university hoping she would get to know some rich kid and get them out of poverty.

However, since transfering into the exclusive school, her behavior had changed. Now she has reverted back to her strong self. San Cai is brave and is a good fighter. She stands up to Dao Ming Si and the F4 despite her fears and nervousness. Not only is she good at protecting herself, she is also the protector of her friend Qing He.

Dao Ming Si

Dao Ming Si (Doumyouji Tsukasa), played by Jerry Yen Cheng Xu of 25 years of age is the male lead of Liu Xing Hua Yuan. Dao Ming Si is also the leader of F4 and is supposedly the younngest member (in the show) He has two nicknames, xiao bai tu (small white rabbit) and bao long (fierce dragon). Judging from polls and the reaction of fans, you could say that he is the the most popular member of the F4!

Because of bad control of anger, everyone in the school is afraid of him. Dao Ming Si has been known to beat people up over trivial matters. His parents have been living in New York for the past two years, and his older sister has recently gotten married, thus Dao Ming Si is all alone in his big empty house, and can get quite lonely. Dao Ming Si knows that most of the people around him are not interested in him for who he is, but his wealth.

Because of his arrogance and pride, Dao Ming Si finds it difficult to express his feellings. No respect for authority, always considering himself to be above everyone else. Dao Ming Si gets jealous easily, which brings San Cai many. Dao Ming Xi is closest to his sister, a strong woman who knows her rights, she is one of the few people Dao Mig Si can actually be afraid of. San Cai has many of the same qualities as Dao Ming Si's sister and those qualities is what attracts Dao Ming Si to her.

Hua Ze Lei

Hua Ze Lei (Hanazawa Rui) is played by Vic Zhou Yu Ming. He is the second male lead after Dao Ming Si. He is currently 20 years of age and is the youngest member in F4 (real life, in the show they are all the same)

Hua Ze Lei is the sensitive and quiet member of F4. He is infatuated with Teng Tang Jing, who is 21 years of age in the show. However, she flies off to Paris and never to return. Hua Ze Lei then becomes very good friends with San Cai, as you all know, San Cai secretly liked Hua Ze Lei a lot. There is one point in the show where the both of them were actually a couple. So who will San Cai go with in the end? Watch Liu Xing Hua Yuan to find out!

Xi Men

Xi Men (Nishikado Soujirou), played by Ken Zhu Xiao Tian is 22 years of age. He studied in Singapore for 6 years. In the show he is closest to Mei Zhuo, as both their characters are alike, playboy.

The character Xi Men changes his girlfriend like every week as he believes that each woman's 'expiry date' is always one week after he gets to know her. Later in the show, he gets to know San Cai's friend, Xiao You, better and were on the verge of becoming a couple, but Xiao You migrated to Canada and he reverted back to his old ways.

Mei Zhuo

Mei Zhuo (Mimasaka Akira) is yet another member of the F4. Played by Vanness Wu Jian Hao, 22 years of age. He was raised in the US and therefore constantly includes a "yeah" and other english words in his speech.

Mei Zhuo, one who believes strongly in the bond between the members of the F4, plays a very happy person. When watching the show, you wil hardly see him in any troublesome situation or things like that. His character is supposed to be like the play boy kind, so he doesn't really get attatched to anybody.
